Buildings and Energy
Our church is in an urban setting in the heart of Newport and has energy and water supplies. We are following Pathway 1 in the revised Survey.
We are committed to looking for ways to reduce our carbon emissions and energy use in the buildings.
The Methodist Church aspires to becoming a net Zero emissions Church by 2030.
We have carried out a Carbon Footprint for the financial year Sep 2023 – Aug 2024. We now have a baseline for our CO2 emissions, and are attempting to reduce our emissions during the current financial year.
