“Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you”. Nehemiah 9:5b – 6.

Creation Matters! at Newport Methodist Church.

We have registered with Arocha’s Eco Church scheme and join 9 other churches on the Isle of Wight who have registered with the scheme – see map.

A Swift nest box has been installed high up on the north-facing wall of the church hall giving excellent sight-lines and obstacle-free approaches for pairs of Swifts looking for a nest site.

Two Blue tit nest boxes and a nest box suitable for a Blackbird or Song thrush have also been positioned around the site.

The young people who attend the monthly Messy Church have now harvested the seed potatoes and they enjoyed

eating them with their meal, soon after they came out of the planters.
