The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it

Psalm 24:1.

The UK is hosting the G7 summit in Cornwall in June and climate change is high on the agenda. In November, the UK is also to host the 26th global Climate Change Conference ‘COP26’ in Glasgow. What is the Christian perspective on climate change, and its potential impact on all living things? The house groups will be joining with others over the coming weeks for a series produced by Tearfund entitled  Climate Change from a Christian perspective.  There is a nine-part film series featuring Katharine Hayhoe, an internationally renowned Christian climate scientist. In each episode, she responds to climate questions from key church leaders .Each session will include a video and an opportunity to share thoughts in small groups. Home Groups

Home groups are run to support and to encourage us to discover and discuss the Bible in a friendly environment. Groups meet weekly or fortnightly, at different times. Everyone is welcome to join a home group.

Over the past weeks and months the Covid-19 restrictions have prevented the home groups meeting together physically. However, three of the groups have been meeting on Zoom, coming together and enjoying each other’s company in a different way. We continue to gather round God’s Word and sense the presence of the Holy Spirit as we share and pray together.

If you are interested in joining a home group have a word with Keith, our Home Group co-ordinator
